About Our Steering Committee Member,
Lynn knows that people who are informed and aware are best suited to develop collaborative solutions that provide equitable accesses to healthy nutrition and food in their own communities.
Lynn has worked with a diverse, interdisciplinary group on the Sacramento State campus on the Farm to Fork Festival to build awareness and resources for food insecure students and communities.
Lynn provides training in child nutrition for community non-profits, such as the Food Literacy Center, supporting childhood learning and access to seasonal plant-based food.
Lynn holds a PhD. in Developmental Nutrition from the University of California at Davis, and is the current Chair of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Sacramento State.
